Vanessa Anne Hudgens (1988. december 14.) amerikai színésznő és énekesnő. 2003-ban olyan filmekben debütált, mint például a Thirteen vagy a Viharmadarak(Thunderbirds) és 2006-ban hatalmas hírnévre tett szert, mivel szerepet kapott a Disney Channel filmjében, a High School Musical-ben (Szerelmes hangjegyek). Idő közben zenei karrierjébe is belekezdett, és 2006-ban kiadta bemutatkozó albumát a V-t. 2007-ben a Neutrogena arca lett.[1]

Vanessa Anne Hudgens szülei Hudgens első gyermekeként született 1988. december 14-én Salinasban, Kaliforniában. Apja neve: Greg Hudgens, anyjáé: Gina Guanco. Római katolikus vallású. Ereiben filippíno, kínai, latin, indián amerikai és ír vér is csörgedezik. Karrierjét egy zenei színházban kezdte, ekkor 8 éves volt. Szerepeket játszott az Evita, Körhinta, Óz a nagy varázsló, A király és én, Hamupipőke darabokban is. Vanessa nagyon szeretett ebbe a zene-színházba járni. Szülei egy ügynökkel egy szerződést is aláírtak, így a Hudgens család előbb San Diego-ba majd Los Angeles-be költözött. Végül 2003-ban Vanessa megkapta első film szerepét a Tizenhárom c. filmben, melyben Noel-t alakította, itt Nikki Reed és Evan Rachel Wood oldalán játszott.

Élete 

Az első nagyobb szerepe azonban a Thunderbirds-ben (Viharmadarakban) kapta meg, ami egy nyári kalandfilm. Vendégszereplő volt a Quintuplets-ben, és a The Brothers Garcia-ban, valamint megkapta Corrie szerepét a The Suite Life of Zack & Cody-ban.

Aztán 2006-ban megkapta Gabriella Montez szerepét a High School Musical-ben (Szerelmes hangjegyek), amelyben egyszerre kellett színészkednie, énekelnie, és táncolnia. A film meghozta számára az átütő sikert. Szereplése hírnevet hozott neki. A Szerelmes hangjegyek a Disney legnagyobb filmjei közé tartozik. A film 2006. január 20-án debütált, és 8 millióan nézték meg akkor. A hozzá készült CD is nagy siker volt, a Billboard Charts-on az első volt, nem sokkal a kiadás után. A DVD-t 2006. május 23-án adták ki, és az első nap 400.000 darabot adtak el belőle. Emmy-díjatnyert, és az MTV Teen Choice Awards-on két díjat is kaptak, a szereposztásért, és Vanessa és Zac játékáért. Zac Efron és Vanessa között komolyabb kapcsolat van.

A Szerelmes hangjegyek c. filmben eredetileg Ashley Tisdale alakította volna Gabriella Montezt, de a rendezők Vanessát hitelesebbnek tartották erre a karakterre, Ashley Tisdale pedig Sharpay-t alakította. CD-jéért is megrohamozták a kiadók, végül a Hollywood Records-szal írta alá a szerződést. Vanessa CD-je nem egystílusú, hanem van benne pop, rock, hangulatos zene, elektronikus beütés, és R&B is, így eléggé változatos a hallgatók számára. 2006. szeptember 26-án kiadták első szólóalbumát a V-t, az első szám az albumról a Come Back To Me volt, ami a TRL-en a 3. helyen volt már az első héten.

A High School Musical 3 - Végzősök című filmjének óriási sikere lett, az első héten 45 millió dolláros bevételt hozott.

Eközben 2008.július 1-én megjelent Vanessa 2. szóló albuma az Identified, magyarul „Azonosítva”. A lemez hatalmas sikernek örvendett, első kislemeze, a „Sneakernight” vagyis az „Tornacipős éjszaka” hamar sláger lett.

Vanessa Sneakernight című számával bejutott a VIVA CHART SHOW-ba. 2009. április 4-én 4. helyezett lett.

Vanessa és Zac Efron a hsm1 forgatása alatt jöttek össze,de 2010-ben szakítottak,azalatt töbször fölmerűlt az a hír,hogy össze házasodnak,és,hogy Vany terhes,de ez nem így volt.Most már nem egymáséi,de Nessa legjobb barátnője Ashley Tisdale régebben hajtott Zacre még randizott is vele.Vanessának a zenei karrierje is nagyon jó volt egy-két számához klipp is készült,ilyen pl.: Snikernight,ami egy nagyon jó szám érdemes meghallgatnotok :). Vanessa és Ashley,valamint Zack,még a szakítás előtt sokszor voltak közös programon,íme néhány kép róla/Róluk:

Vanessa Hudgens koránt sem volt mindig ilyen fényes,több botránya is volt,az egyik a hsm1 megjelenésekor,és akkora hű-hó támadt,és botrány,hogy vissza sem akarták venni a későbbi,hsm2 forgatásába,de Vany bizonyított,és ezzel megkapta a,2 ben ésa hsm3-ban is Gabriella Montez szerepét,aki a filmben szerény,az igazi életben,pedig mondjuk úgy,egy vadmacska.
